WILMINGTON,NC (WWAY) -- Times have been better in Seahawk basketball land. It appears UNCW will be banned from post-season play next season due to previous academic difficulties. Three players recently transferred. On Sunday might a Dallas newspaper reported UNCW head coach Buzz Peterson may be heading to SMU as an assistant coach if Larry Brown is awarded the vacant head coaching job for the Mustangs. If Brown is named the head coach, Peterson could end up being the coach in-waiting for the Mustangs. Brown is 71 years old. Peterson sports a 23-37 overall record at UNCW over a two year period.
