BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Former state Sen. Julia Boseman has dropped her appeal to be put back on the court appointed attorney list in Brunswick County.

Earlier this month, Judge Ola Lewis removed Boseman from the list. Boseman appeared in court today, but decided to dismiss her appeal.

She nor her attorney would explain why.

Judge Lewis’s attorney said Boseman decided this was not the right way to go about getting back on the list. Instead, she can apply to a committee to be placed back on it.

According to court documents, Judge Lewis removed Boseman “for good cause,” but no one would tell us what that refers to.

This isn’t a marriage issue. This is based on her awful record at representation amongst a slew of other complaints and issues of her twisted and lack of moral aptitude. Quit making it a gay issue. Her character is what has her here. Same story, different year.

Has anyone thought to consider that around the same time that Ms. Boseman was “removed” that the County of Brunswick voted to support Amendment One? In other words, for the readers out there that are clueless, Brunswick County does not support same-sex marraige. Intresting, Ms. Boseman is a Lesbian, Democratic, white woman who has filed a complaint with Judicial Standards regarding the illegal and unethical actions of an afro-american, REPUBLICAN straight woman! Call it what you will, but when the facts are clear I think OLA might just wanna realize she has abused her power, just like several other judges in Brunswick County.

How sad for poor Julia. She has such a hard life.

I guess she has no work and wants this so she has money coming in. Most Attorneys try to stay away from this.

If Boseman was removed by a Judge for “good cause”, doesn’t it stand to reason that there is just cause to remove her license as an attorney since she is unable to fulfill the basic function of a court appointed attorney to defend the rights of the needy citizens of this State?

I am glad Boseman was removed because she did not fulfill or help the ones she was appointed to help in Brunswick County. She Refused to even see them in jail, Refused working with the court to help them get much needed rehab. Hope she stays out of Brunswick County. Poor Attorney all right.

No, false equivalence.

do you honestly think a group of attorneys will take action to remove the license from another attorney?

Think about that. A den of vipers removing the fangs from another?

It could well be her experience has not been in crimminal law which is what court appointed attorneys typically work on.

That would be nice, but to be disbarred in North Carolina is nearly impossible because they govern themselves.

That should change.

But Julia is yesterdays news. She cant get on the list because of a judge that knows the law, but a committee will be more pliable.

I am a retired State Employee for the Division of Prisons who responded to then Senator Boseman about her politics. She did not like my comments and complained to the Director. My idiot supervisors called me in and said I could not contact her in any manner. I told them you cannot tell me what to do from own home on my own computer and refused their stupidity. I continued to email my complaints until she shut her state web site down. I will never forget this incident nor her attempts to silence me and especially the role of so called supervisors trying to curtail my rights under the First Amemdment. Now that I am retired I do not fear reprisals from moronic state employees who should be fired! I will continue to make my views known and no one will shut me up. I along with millions are watching and doing something about unfairness and bad politics. How do you think the Tea Party movement got started? Citizens are getting sick and tired of idiotic bosses and politicians. If you fall in this category, beware, your day is coming!

Her former clients are better off without her.

Down to every last little sordid detail.

This has nothing to do with her being a lesbian she represented me PRIVATELY and was a total waste of money and time. She did nothing on the case it was blatantly obvious through the entire process that she had other personal and financial issues going on in the background. Everyone automatically assumes it’s because she’s gay- NO it’s because she’s not doing her job as an attorney. If she doesnt do anything for her paid clients- what is she doing for the ones the state is paying a percentage of what she would usually charge? NOTHING! I’m sure there were many complaints filed on TOP of this judge ordering her off the list.

I know her personally and so thankful I moved out of the county. She continually abuses her so called power (which his a joke now) and attempts to silence anyone who calls her out on being dishonest, dirty and mental . She thinks she can threaten peoples livelihoods to make them keep quiet. Well guess what Julia some of us can’t be silent much longer. You have abused the law and committed a few serious crimes yourself lately. New Hanover deserves much better. Oh, how did you afford your new house in Carolina beach if you filed bankruptcy? She is why people dislike politicians. Move . Please . And I don’t care if she is gay straight or inbetween. But I do care that she has no moral compass . Stepping off my soapbox now.
