Wilmington, NC (WWAY) – Friday night’s sports segment featured high school baseball action from all over the region. We checked out Hoggard versus Greenville Rose, as well as the New Hanover Wildcats against the Laney Bucs. Ashley went on the road to New Bern for a battle between the top two Mideastern Conference teams. We even traveled to Trask High School to watch the Titan baseball and softball teams square off against Union. We even had basketball news on Friday night. The NCAA may levee a postseason ban on the UNCW men’s basketball program for lack of academic progress. We also had a UNCW men’s golf update after the first round of the CAA Championships in Wilmington, DE.
