BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick Community College employee no longer has a job after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old girl.

30-year-old college IT technician Josue Juarez was first suspended on Thursday, while campus police launched an investigation.

The 16-year-old attends Brunswick County Early College High School, which is on the college campus.

What high school or college did you attend where it was legal, let alone ethical or moral for an employee to have a relationship with a student?

from what i understand about it its 16 until you turn 21.. after you turn 21 you cant legally have sex with anyone under 18

NC law says it is legal to have sex with a 16 yr old. I don’t know how he could be charged as you say he has.

What about the ‘innocent until proven guilty’ theory? He should play the race card on this one, especially if he’s been treated differently than other employees who have been charged with crimes.
