WILMINGTON,NC (WWAY) -- Trot Nixon will be inducted into the Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday. We featured Nixon on WWAY's Thursday night sports. On top of that we checked in on the regular season girls soccer finale between New Hanover and Hoggard. Plus, we featured the new women's basketball coach at UNC Wilmington, Adell Harris.

IN HIGH SCHOOL TRACK THE ROSE RAMPANTS GIRLS TRACK TEAM WON FIRST PLACE IN THE MIDEASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP MEET ON THURSDAY.

IN HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL GREENVILLE ROSE BEAT NEW BERN 5-2 THURSDAY NIGHT.

TOPSAIL PIRATE CATCHER CODY KYLE SIGNED TO PLAY COLLEGE BASEBALL AT PITT COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE THURSDAY.

IN HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER HOGGARD SHUTOUT NEW HANOVER 3-0.
CHELSEA FRANKENY, SAYRES MCKENNA AND KIERA WOODING SCORED FOR THE VIKINGS.
LILY HERRING HAD TWO ASSISTS WHILE SARAH MILLER ADDED ONE.
HOGGARD IS NOW 14-1-2 OVERALL.
IN HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER CAPE FEAR ACADEMY SHUTOUT FAYETTEVILLE ACADEMY TONIGHT 2-0 TO IMPROVE TO 14-1.
IN HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SOCCER WHITEVILLE SHUTOUT SW ONSLOW 2-0 TONIGHT TO FINISH THE REGULAR SEASON UNDEFEATED FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER.
WHITEVILLE IS CURRENTLY RANKED #2 IN THE STATE ON THE 2-A LEVEL.

IN HIGH SCHOOL BOYS TENNIS CAPE FEAR ACADEMY BEAT FAYETTEVILLE ACADEMY 9-0 TO IMPROVE TO 16-0 ON THE SEASON.

FORMER WAKE FOREST STANDOUT AND CURRENT TUSCULUM COACH ADELL HARRIS HAS BEEN NAMED THE UNCW WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HEAD COACH.
HARRIS BECOMES THE TENTH HEAD COACH IN UNCW WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HISTORY.

THE GREATER WILMINGTON SPORTS HALL OF FAME WILL GROW BY FOUR ON SUNDAY.
TROT NIXON, LENNY SIMPSON, DR. JAMES DINEEN AND THE LATE IKE GRAINGER WILL ALL BE INDUCTED AT A CEREMONY ON SUNDAY AT UNCW.
