Flight 22 wins another Big Shots event

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WWAY) — Nathan Faulk continues to work his magic with the Flight 22 basketball team. The 17 and under Flight 22 basketball team defeated Wilmington based Blizzard Athletics on Sunday in the championship game of the Myrtle Beach Big Shots Tournament. South View junior Rian Holland scored 30 points in the championship game. Holland averaged 28.5 points over a four game stretch in the event.

Until last week Nathan Faulk was also the head basketball coach at South View, but he’s now the head coach at Laney. Fred Lynch made that announcement on Tuesday. 17 and under Flight 22 also won the Dillon Intimidator tourney three weeks ago.

The 16 and under Flight 22 team also won their division on Sunday. Ridell Camidge led Flight 22 in the title with 17 points. Hoggard sophomore Trevor Singleton added 14 points and 11 rebounds.
