UPDATE: The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says around 8:15 a.m. Matthew Hoffman was found safe riding his bicycle in the Southport area. He will be reunited with his father shortly.


SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office needs your help finding a missing South Brunswick High School teenager.

18-year-old Matthew Hoffman was last seen Saturday around 10:00 a.m. at his home on North Howe Street in Southport. He may be riding a red mongoose bicycle. Hoffman sometimes goes to the Walmart in Southport.

Hoffman is 5’6″, weighs 140 pounds, has black hair and blue eyes.
