GREENSBORO, NC (AP) — Jurors deliberating in John Edwards’ campaign corruption trial are going home for the weekend and will resume their discussions Monday.

A judge dismissed the jurors after they deliberated for about five hours on Friday. The jurors requested a list of all of the trial exhibits as well as office supplies, suggesting they were settling in for detailed discussions.

Edwards is accused of orchestrating a plan to use money from wealthy donors to hide his pregnant mistress during his run for the 2008 White House.

His attorneys say he did not knowingly break the law and that the payments were gifts, not campaign contributions.

Edwards is charged with six criminal counts. He faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted of all charges.

Your fantasies can come back to you in the form of dreams. As for John, he is accused of using millions of dollars of campaign funds to cover up his high-end lifestyle and covert affairs, all while his wife lies on her deathbed.

I hope they nail this arrogant jerk to the prison cell wall AND take away his hairspray collection!

  • Wade Griffis says:

John Edwards dangled hin dingus in a delightful distraction from a wife who was dying. Do not discount his despicable actions.

Do discover a human with decent desires for the country. Did he screw up? Of course. At my age, that kind of sexual attraction is a distant memory, although a fond memory.

For God’s sake! he was not spying for the enemy. He did not rob a bank. He did not kill anybody.

He just wanted a little strange sex. He got it. He will be paying for the resulting kid for the rest of his life. As well he should.

I do not know him. Do not want to know him. But, give the guy a break. A lot of us have done stupid things in a quest for sex.

Sentence him to 10 years of passing out condoms. Be done with this.

Best quote of the day…”Do discover a human with decent desires for the country” Really? This guy was a bottom feeding trial lawyer. The only desire he had was for power. Leave it to a sheep such as yourself to believe that lie. He was and always has been a scum bag.

  • guesty says:

He is scum and needs to be locked away.

  • Wade Griffis says:

But you and I and all thinking people know this will not happen. Is he a scumbag? Absolutely. Dut he will never serve a day in jail. Reality is what it is.

If you are a gambling person, I will take your bet. $5 saye he will never spend a day in jail!! Give your loses to Habitat for Humanity. I will!
