BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- In Kitchen Cops a low score to report from Brunswick County. Inspectors visited TK's diner at 5300 #6 Main Street in Shallotte on May 1, and found a list of violations including:
Raw hamburger stored over raw pork.
Dish washer needs to sanitize every cycle.
Hot water not hot enough.
Need to cool food properly.
Clean hood filter, fryers, and other areas.
Clean grease pooling on bottom of the 2 drawer meat and bread unit.
Fix men’s room door and remove mold from women’s room.
Clean floors, vents, counter.
All in all quite a list and a low score of 87 for TK’s in Shallotte back on May first.
A re-inspection at TK's in Shallotte went much better.
On May 11 inspectors could only find:
A need to repair dishwasher
Clean top gaskets on doors for cooler
Lose 2 points, a much improved 98 on re-inspection for TK’s at 5300 #6 Main Street in Shallotte.
Not good enough for me.
