WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — A man was stabbed repeatedly after becoming involved in a dispute over a woman. The incident happened early Sunday morning. The suspect, Angel Adony Gomez-Acevedo, d.o.b. 10-02-1984, reportedly provoked a dispute with David Villegas, age 46, and stabbed Villegas repeatedly in the stomach and hands. According to witnesses, Gomez-Acevedo initially attacked Villegas with a small utility knife, then ran into his residence (6106 Bailey Buck Road) and retrieved a large kitchen knife. A third man tried to stop the attack on Villegas, but Gomez-Acevedo fended him off, cutting the man’s hand. Finally, Gomez-Acevedo ran away from the scene toward a wooded area.

Villegas sustained severe wounds. Both injured men were transported for treatment.

Responding WPD officers set up a perimeter in the area. A WPD K-9 officer and his dog were able to track Gomez-Acevedo into a heavily wooded area adjacent to Chilcot Lane. The suspect was arrested and transported to the New Hanover County detention facility where he remains in custody. Gomez-Acevedo has been charged as noted above and is being held under $200,000 bond.

Deport him back home and we want have to deal with him again for a few weeks. It would be the same as us feeding him in jail for a few weeks. Save us some money; let him live off the land until he gets back.

Immigrants are bringing their 3rd world countries here. We allow groups to live as they did in their county and not assimilate by learning the language and laws. This lowers our standards and drop to their level and not them becoming “Americans”.

This is not a unique to Latinos, but other nationalities as well. Go to Miami, Minneapolis, or China Town in San Francisco. You would think you stepped in another country.
