WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- City leaders unanimously approved to appropriate $137,000 for the development and land sale for a Convention Center hotel. City Manager Sterling Cheatham says the city should have about $1 mil extra in sales tax revenue this fiscal year to help pay for the project.
