Dayton picks up first win against Hammerheads

DAYTON,OH (USL Pro Soccer news release) — Eli Garner scored two goals in a seven-minute span to lead the Dayton Dutch Lions to a 4-0 victory against the Wilmington Hammerheads at Miami Valley South Stadium on Saturday night, earning his side its first victory in USL PRO this season. Even without two usual starters, with Nixon Dias and Bret Jones out with injuries, Dayton (1-7-5) started strong with Gibson Bardsley striking first in the 11th minute.


Wilmington’s next game will be at home on Saturday, June 30 at Legion Stadium against the Los Angeles Blues. Wilmington enters the game with a 5-5-4 record. Los Angeles is 5-3-2.
