 WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) -- It was a night full of red, white and blue across the Cape Fear. On this Fourth of July, if you were anywhere near downtown Wilmington you probably saw a huge crowd of people gathering at the riverfront. Folks enjoyed some live music, funnel cakes and fun with their families, all in anticipation of the fireworks shooting off from the Battleship North Carolina. Great time for a Baseball Day Game, Beach Music, Hot Dogs, Cold Beer and Fireworks.
Now!! That's Wilmington Folks..
And for 2014
On the river iin the new stadium after street fair,and single-A game packing the house,and a vibrant downtown virtually all-day.
Lood at Myrtle Beach as they set singla game record 2 times in one week.
June 28th and July 3 both nights capped out a full stadium with 6,599 each game.
So visitors,looking for something at night with families is HUGE!
