CHARLOTTE, NC (AP) — An exhibit giving people a glimpse of what American presidents see every day is opening in Charlotte, where Democrats will nominate Barack Obama as their presidential candidate.

Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx on Tuesday discusses the presidential exhibition coming to the Queen City at the end of August.

American Presidential Experience 2012 features three dozen displays including a cutout fuselage showing the interior of Air Force One and a full-size version of the president’s Oval Office in the White House.

Boosters call it the largest traveling exhibit of presidential icons of the modern era.
