This is my aunt you are making such remarks about. If you will notice every mature adult listed as missing on Silver Alert is stated to possibly be suffering from dementia. She is not. You tell me how many people who had an accident whose car landed in water could kick the door open, take off her bra attach it to the luggage rack, pull herself up, use one shoe as a pillow and the other to scoop water on the roof because it was so hot it was burning her skin. You tell me what person suffering from dementia could do this. She is a strong woman and thank God she is alive. I hope you are as healthy in mind, body and spirit as her at 84.

I have known this lady all my life. She and my mother grew up friends. If she had dementia she showed no signs of it to me. My mother died with dementia! She stopped by my home to visit with me and check on how I was doing early last week. We had wonderful stimulating conversation!

I can’t help but wonder why someone who is suffering from “dementia or some other cognitive impairment” has a car or a drivers license????? Who is caring for this woman???

She has dementia, and she is driving her car?

This is truly alarming. She should never have had access to her car if she is suffering dementia.
