ASHEBORO, NC (AP) — The North Carolina Zoo has welcomed three newborn kudus.

The News & Observer of Raleigh reported two of the newborns of the species of antelope from Africa are now on display. Zoo spokesman Tom Gillespie says the third kudu calf is undergoing medical treatment.

The kudus are living in the zoo’s 37-acre African Plains exhibit, which has nine different species, including rhinos.

The zoo has added a female baby giraffe in the past three weeks. Another kudu and two fringe-eared oryx calves also were born in the past two months.

Gillespie says the zoo now has 15 kudus.
