WILMINGTON,NC (WWAY) -- The New Hanover Wildcat football team held their annual "Orange-Black" scrimmage at Legion Stadium on Monday. Click play video to get a glimpse of this year's team.

POWHATAN, VA (WWAY) -- The state champion Pender County Dixie Belles are making even more noise this week at the Dixie Youth World Series. Pender beat a team from Texas on Friday. On Saturday Pender beat a squad from Alabama. On Sunday they downed a team from Florida. In a winner's bracket game on Monday night the Burgaw based squad beat Virginia 6-4. Pender is now the only team in the Dixie Belles World Series without a loss in the double elimination tournament. 11 states are represented in the week long event.

WASHINGTON,DC - On Saturday night Pender County native Donnell Holmes improved his pro record to 34-2-2 with a unanimous decision over Maurice Winslow of Atlanta.
