BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has identified a teen who drowned while swimming yesterday. Investigators say Raquan Green, 15, of Ash died after a swimming accident in the Longwood area.

Emergency crews responded to the call around 5 p.m. Sunday.

After a more than two hour search, divers found the teen’s body in a pond near Hughes-Smith Road and Longwood Road.

Green was pronounced dead at the scene.
