BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Sheriff’s deputies seized 2,000 bindles of heroin at a traffic stop yesterday.

An investigation led deputies to Christopher Joseph Mosby of Leland. They say Mosby’s goddaughter was driving him home, when deputies found the duffel bag of drugs.

A narcotics officer, who’s identity we are protecting, says because of the amount of heroin seized, the bust is huge for Brunswick County.

“Based on the fact that this guy was convicted of murder in 1994, and he’s out in 2012, and he’s obviously a major supplier of narcotics in our county,” the officer said.

Detectives say Mosby brought the duffel bag with the heroin on a bus from New Jersey.

He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking opium or heroin.

Another fine upstanding citizen, BS!!!!! They should dig a hole, shoot him and fill it in. No mercy for people who sell this crap to children, or anyone. I bet his loser family is so proud. Now lets sit back and see his family, friends, customers, and the bleeding hearts come out of the woodwork to say what great person he is, and how he was just trying to make a living to pay child support for all his bas**rd children. He is a major dealer screw him.

What? This story is missing something. He was convicted of murder but is out after 18 years – what was his sentence? Evidently he didn’t learn his lesson in jail – that crime doesn’t pay. Well I guess it does – he is selling drugs. No telling how many times he has been to the area but hasn’t got caught. Is his goddaughter part of it?
