BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- The murder trial of Craig Bryant took another turn Wednesday as his co-defendant testified against him.
Bryant is accused of killing Shallotte real estate agent Adam Bradshaw in 2008.
The prosecution has been waiting to bring Lora Moultrie to the stand because they believe her testimony will be what they need to prove their case.
"He said he was going to kill him," Moultrie said in reference to Bryant's alleged intentions to murder Bradshaw.
Moultrie says things got messy after Bradshaw sold land that previously belonged to Bryant and his family. She says Bryant did not want to disappoint his family so he decided he had to get the property back by any means he found necessary. Moultrie says that's when Bryant decided he needed to kill Bradshaw and enlisted her help to get him out to a deserted road.
Moultrie says she called Bradshaw and asked him to meet her at a property on Watt Rd. in Ocean Isle. Moultrie says she never planned to meet Bradshaw at the house but Bryant was waiting for him there. She says Bryant said he was planning to "blow his brains out."
Moultrie says she tried to talk Bryant out of killing Bradshaw but he did not listen to her.
