WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Are you ready to hit up some beautiful downtown kitchens?

This year’s Back Door Kitchen Tour is about to get underway, and tonight the residents of old wilmington unveiled the official artwork.

Italian artist Allesandro Giambra worked hard on a piece that would capture the peace and beauty of the historic district. Now that it’s unveiled, everybody seems excited and ready to go.

“To me it represents, a little bit, the downtown area with a lot of greens, a lot of trees, and just the peaceful walking around downtown,” Giambra said.

This year’s tour of nine homes kicks off Saturday, October 20. Tickets are $25. You can buy them at various downtown businesses or online. Click here for more information.
