WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating another attempted robbery of a delivery drive in the Port City.

The 35-year-old man told police he was headed to an address in the 900 block N. 7th Street at about 8:50 p.m. Sunday. He said when he got to the area, two men flagged him down. The driver said the man on the driver’s side of the car showed a small pocket knife, said something about drugs and grabbed the bag of food. The driver said he struggled with the man and was able to get the food back. Then the driver said he drove a short distance and made a delivery across the street while the two men who had tried to rob him sat on their front porch.

According to the police report, the driver kept working, making a couple more deliveries before returning to the restaurant. The store manager wanted to call the police.

The driver said the suspect with the knife was a white man in his 30s or early 40s, approximately 5’10” and chubby. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue shorts. The driver was unable to describe the second man.

If you have any information, call Wilmington Police.

It’s an exceptional weapon for stopping thieves, often resulting in the total removal of the hand or forearm if you swing with enough force. During WW II the Gurkhas used to pride themselves on being able to decapitate a Japanese soldier with one swing….and it’s only about sixteen inches long!

Keep it on the dashboard and you’re Chapter 14 compliant.

If you csn’t get a CCW permit, you can do the same with a gun as the kukri.

But using the kukri is much more impressive!

This is why there should be less restrictive gun laws. People need to be able to protect themselves.
