BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County teenager is charged with allegedly stealing from vacation homes and then selling the items to pawn shops in the Southport area.

Rebecca Lane Schiff, 19, is charged with obtaining property under false pretense.

Some of the thefts took months to be reported, because of the victims’ vacation homes being empty during the off-season.

Investigators say Schiff faces more charges in Brunswick and New Hanover Counties.

Jeepers! Wonder what she bought with the money from the pawn shop. People don’t deserve to have their homes broken into….what is wrong with these little crooks? Oh, yeah, I forgot…the government has made it so you can’t disipline your children without getting arrested for it.
