WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Things went pretty well during a weekend closure of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge, but drivers will have to deal with more delays this week.

The NC Department of Transportation is closing one of two lanes in each direction on the bridge beginning today and ending Friday. The closures begin at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. each day.

The closures are needed to allow crews to perform necessary electrical and mechanical repairs.
