WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The UNCW Communication Society is rocking for a cure Friday night. The event Rock for the Cure benefits the New Hanover Regional Medial Center’s Pink Ribbon Project.

Rock for the Cure coordinator Joy Ellis stopped by Good Morning Carolina this morning to talk about the event, including some of the great items up for auction. Check out the video to find out more.

Rock for the Cure is on the rooftop at Reel Café on Front Street in downtown Wilmington Friday 7-10 p.m.

Rock for the Cure is for a great cause.
It is awesome to see people giving of their time and resources to demonstrate compassion for others. Keep up the good work!

I still cannot find a single person to explain to me why it’s more important to cure breast cancer than all the rest of the cancers out there, even the ones killing children.

Maybe it’s because no one wants to tell the truth – it’s all money. That’s it, that’s the list. Money.
