WILMINGTON, NC (NEWS RELEASE) — WPD Patrol Officers responded to a 911 call from a female victim who reported that she was sitting in her living room on East Lake Shore Drive when a male she did not know walked into her house from the garage.

The victim said she screamed and ran outside to a neighbor’s house and called 911. When she looked into her house from a safe distance she told responding officers the unknown male had taken off all his clothes.

Responding officers found Jerry Crawford, 26, in the backyard, naked, with his clothes located inside the house.

He was subsequently arrested, cleared from the NHRMC, and charged without incident.

He was booked into the New Hanover County Jail under a $2,200 secure bond and charged with Misdemeanor Breaking and Entering, Injury to Personal Property, and Indecent Exposure.
