WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — One man was arrested after allegedly stealing a video camera from three men.

The incident happened yesterday afternoon when one adult male and two juvenile men were skateboarding and videotaping themselves at the Cape Fear Community College parking deck. A man drove up and started asking them questions about their camera.

He offered them money if they would do a trick, and while two of them were skateboarding for him, the robber grabbed the video camera from the third person. There was a struggle, and according to the victims, the man displayed a knife or razor and held it to the neck of the victim with the camera.

As the victim with the camera pulled away, he was cut on the side of the neck and hand causing minor injuries. Then the robber fled. Wilmington Police arrived in the area and apprehended the suspect near N. 4th and Campbell Streets.

The suspect Jairo Arnoldo Rebollo was identified by the victims as their attacker but their camera was never found.

Rebollo is in custody at the New Hanover County detention facility. He is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held on $200,000 bond.

Mitt Romney will see to it that we export enough of our jobs to Mexico so those poor folks won’t have to move to Wilmington just to rob skateboarders of camcorders

What about all those poor illegals that are just trying to find a better way of life? They have brought their third-world crime and way of life that is bringing the US down to their level. You think you see McDonald’s drive-thru menus in English when you go to Mexico? Instead of going back home when there is no work, he turns to crime. Thanks Dream Act!

The Cherokee Nation said the samething about your people in 1832 and look where it got them….so when are you moving to Oklahoma?

  • Beach Bum says:

Guess that is why you are an ex cop…

  • Windsnake says:

“Playing” on private property without authorization is considered trespassing. Trespassing is a crime. So yes, they should ALL be charged. If they hadn’t been trespassing, none of this would have happened.

  • Beach Bum says:

When you lead the illegals out of America.

So u think he’s an immigrant??? He is an american citizen!!! Why r u so judgemental??? All of u just talk or write because you have a wanna be brain!!! You dont know if this is true… My brother had $500 in his pocket and did not need to rob nobody!!! I hope that none of u have to go through something so horrible like this!!! What were all these people doing in the CFCC parking deck, on a Sunday, when the college was closed? Were they CFCC students and/or did they have authorization to use the college’s parking deck for skateboarding? Sounds like everyone involved should be charged with trespassing.

  • GuestExCop says:

So, I suppose you think it is ok for a thug to rob and threaten the life of 3 kids because they were skateboarding? They were not hurting anybody, they were not commiting any crime, selling drugs, they were just playing. Is that not what we would prefer them do? Sounds like you are about as much of a problem as the robber.
