WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The SBI is done with its investigation into allegations of rape against NC Highway Patrol Tpr. Bryan Phillips.

District Attorney Ben David says the report has been sent to the Attorney General’s office to decide if charges will be filed. David says his office should know more by next week.

In July, a Brunswick County woman said Phillips raped her in his New Hanover County home after she met him on an online dating site.

Phillips has been on administrative duty during the investigation.
