WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Just one day after the spooktacular holiday of Halloween, downtown Wilmington now has a bit of Christmas flair.

As they do every year on November 1, City crews installed wreaths with bright red bows and ornaments on light poles along Front Street. Some folks like the overlap of holiday cheer.

So you know, there are 53 shopping days left before Christmas.

Please tell me that the City is getting new decorations for downtown this year. I was so embarrased to have folks visit when the decorations were all orange, not red. Seems there is $ for everything else as far as improvement and such. I hope this will surely be a new season for the city.
