WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Sixteen months after a woman was found murdered in her Wilmington home, police still don’t have many answers to share about who did it.

Carol Ann Johnson’s fiance found her stabbed to death in her Pine Valley home on July 4, 2011.

Wilmington Police Chief Ralph Evangelous says he has not forgotten about the case, and he has new detectives working alongside former FBI agents. He hopes the fresh eyes will uncover new leads.

Anything on Carol Ann Johnson? It is approaching three years since her murder. Do we know anything else?

Two years have past, since we loss Carol, are there any updates in the investigation?
Are there any psychics who would like to take this case on?

  • Ted Johnson says:

I think it is fairly obvious who the police are looking at. Surely there must be some circumstantial evidence to make an arrest by now? 3+ years . . . so sad for the family.
