RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) – North Carolina’s unemployment dropped slightly in October from a month earlier.

The state Commerce Department released figures Friday showing that the rate dropped to 9.3 percent from 9.6 percent in September. The figures show a significant improvement from a year ago, when unemployment was 10.6 percent in October 2011.

The state still trails the national rate, which was 7.9 percent in October.

The number of people employed increased by more than 43,000 to more than 4.2 million over the month. That’s up more than 95,000 in the past year. The major industry with the largest over-the-month increase was leisure and hospitality services, which gained 3,600 jobs.

This is all Obama’s fault… Wait… This is good news! But how can we still make Obama look bad for this? I know! It’s his fault that Hostess is shutting down! I live surrounded by a bunch of ignorant, fat, racist rednecks that claim to be patriots and then say they want to seceed. See y’all in church!

Obama doesn’t need us to make him look bad, he does a good job of doing that on his own. Remember, in 2008 NC unemployment was 5%. Now it’s DOWN to 9.3%! So, who’s the ignorant, fat, racist redneck here?! If there’s a mirror in your church, take look and you’ll find the answer.

If they have not found a job in 99 weeks they are not really looking for one. There are 3 million jobs out there that need qualified people. If they have given up then they are not unemployed; they’re societal leeches. The Obama administration has been at the helm when 5 million private sector jobs have been created. We are on the right track.

some relief comes from seasonal hirings for the Holiday season. And with some retail outlets, that started before Halloween.
