WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Stephen Watston with New Hanover County Animal Services stopped by the Good Morning Carolina set to show off an animal in need of a home.

The long-hair chihuahua was turned into the shelter and caretakers now believe he is about 4-years-old. The dog is neutered and has all the vaccines needed to go home today.

If you’re interested in adopting him, call Animal Services at  (910)798-7500 or check out their website for more information.

In addition to showing off today’s adoptable pet, Watson told "Good Morning Carolina" anchor Ashley Jacobs about safety measures pet owners should take on Thanksgiving when it comes to feeding their pets. Get all the information when you watch the full interview.
