BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested four people in connection with the robbery of a Calabash sweepstakes parlor last month. Two suspects are still wanted.
Investigators are looking for help identifying the person caught on surveillance video (photo, right) at Winner’s World November 29. There’s a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Meanwhile, Xavier Aturo Jenrette, 22, of Shallotte is charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Brandon Leroyal Dyson, 28, of Little River, SC, is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery with a dangerous weapon. They are both in the Brunswick County Jail.
Jacobian Wilson, 34, of Longs, SC, is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, while James Kenneth Allison, 29, also of Longs, is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery. They are both in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County, SC, awaiting extradition to Brunswick County.
Investigators also have a warrant for Ronchekala Shawntae Veness, also known as “Koot,” 32, of Loris, SC. She is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
During the early-morning robbery on November 29, a customer in the store had a heart attack and died. At the time, District Attorney Jon David said his office was investigating to see if there were any legal grounds to pursue murder or manslaughter charges against the robbery suspects. No one has been charged with those crimes.
