NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Vice and Narcotics Detectives conducted an undercover prostitution operation after receiving multiple complaints from concerned citizens.

NHSO Vice detectives targeted both women offering sex acts for money and men engaged in soliciting prostitution.

The operation netted a total of 11 individuals who were charged with either engaging or soliciting in prostitution. One other subject was charged with a felony drug violation and possession of paraphernalia.

Captain Ciamillo of the NHSO Vice and Narcotics Division says, “Prostitution has been a growing concern in our community. There is a known connection between prostitution and narcotics use and it’s very concerning to us”.

That person must either be a prostitute or a guy who likes them. Okay, by your standards, why don’t we just make all drugs legal because they can be consensual between people, and lets go ahead and make murdering legal too because that could potentially be consensual between two people as well? No wonder this world is way more corrupt than it should be, because people are a lot more corrupt than they should be.

Prostitution should be legal and controlled. No one is hurt or put in danger as long as common sense prevails and it is consenual. The only thing that makes it prostitution is the exchange of money. It is nothing but an outdated religious belief.

prostitution directly contributes to the modern-day slave trade and is inherently demeaning. legalizing or tolerating prostitution creates “greater demand for human trafficking victims.”
