NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man is in jail under $1 million bond after a bank robbery in New Hanover County. A Sheriff’s Office spokesman says it happened at the BB&T at 5610 Castle Hayne Road around noon.

Investigators say James Bourgoyne passed a note to a teller that said he had a weapon, but he did not show a weapon. They say they got a description of the suspect’s vehicle. Deputies pulled Bourgoyne over on US 421 near the Battleship. He is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Did y’all know that the guy that robbed that bank did so only minutes after his mother, the store manager at the Wilco hess in Rocky point, had made her stores bank drop for that day? Curious, isn’t it.

Did the Police ever find a weapon? Maybe he was just trying to help out the Fiscal Cliff and pay higher taxes with the $$$. But then again…there was never any mention of how much money he made away with.
Seems some criminals get far less bail for worse crimes.
Wait a minute…he must have stolen One Million Dollars from the bank, which explains his bail amount :-)

What a piece of trash. He isn’t any better than the punks downtown robbing people.
