Twin brothers arrested in connection to Christmas day murder


COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) -- The Columbus County Sheriff's Office says two men have been arrested in connection to a Christmas day murder. Napolean Cooper and his twin brother Lapoleon Cooper were arrested for the murder of Gilberto Segovia.

Both men have been charged with murder, kidnapping, and robbery. Both are being held without bond at this time. This is the second and third arrests made in connection to Segovia's murder.

Segovia was found shot to death on Christmas morning in front of his home in Tabor City. Segovia's girlfriend was forcefully taken from the home during the incident by an ex, but was able to escape, unharmed.
