LELAND, NC (WWAY) — North Brunswick High School Athletic Director Randy Fennel says the school is interviewing students and reviewing tape of Friday’s basketball game to figure out who threw a bottle at a Whiteville player. The incident happened after a hard foul during the game between the Scorpions and Wolfpack in Leland.

Fans spilled out onto the court, and deputies eventually ejected all the fans before the game continued after a 15-minute break.

Fennel says the school will discipline any student involved, including banning them from future North Brunswick athletic events.
