BELVILLE, NC (WWAY) — D.A.R.E. officers from across the state came to Belville Elementary School today to promote living a healthy lifestyle.

Brunswick County D.A.R.E. spokesman Adam Stanley says the role of D.A.R.E. officers has gone beyond drug awareness. He says it has turned into an educational mentoring role where officers guide students in and out of the classroom.
