CHAPEL HILL, NC (AP) — North Carolina’s athletic department has released a three-year strategic plan for the 28-sport program, including a focus on concerns that developed following an NCAA investigation of the football program in 2010.

The plan is the first for the department under athletic director Bubba Cunningham, who began restructuring UNC athletics shortly after his arrival in late 2011.

The plan, released Wednesday, covers the obvious topics of winning championships and finishing among the nation’s best in graduation rates.

But it also includes an emphasis on creating a better “compliance culture” for adhering to NCAA rules. It also seeks to rebuilding relationships with a university community frustrated by the reputation-damaging troubles – from improper benefits to academic misconduct – that emerged following the football probe.
