SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — A Hampstead teen has been charged with breaking into a Surf City business through its roof earlier this month.

Matthew Grant Eyster, 19, is charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, injury to personal property, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police have been looking for the person who dropped 30 feet from an air conditioning vent at Tsunami Surf Shop January 9 and stole $700 worth of merchandise.

Eyster is out of jail under a $16,000 secured bond. He’s due in court Tuesday.
