RALEIGH, NC (AP) — A power outage at the Raleigh headquarters of the NC Division of Motor Vehicles is disrupting the agency’s services statewide for a second day.
DMV spokeswoman Marge Howell said Friday the outage was expected to continue for the entire day. The building on New Bern Avenue first lost power Thursday morning.
Howell said services such as routine license renewals and issuing license plates are unaffected, though more complex transactions might be unavailable. Customers are being urged to call their local DMV office before they visit to ensure their needs can be met.
