RALEIGH, NC (AP) — North Carolina medical marijuana advocates are poised to rally outside the Legislature in support of a legalization bill.

The North Carolina chapter of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws is urging supporters to come to Raleigh on Tuesday to lobby state legislators on the issue.

The Enact Medical Cannabis Act filed by two Democratic lawmakers last week would allow state residents to possess and use small amounts of pot with a doctor’s prescription. Past marijuana legalization bills haven’t gone anywhere with North Carolina lawmakers and the current effort faces an uphill fight at the Republican-controlled General Assembly.

If approved…where you gonna get the pot…CVS/Wal “Greens”/Wal Mart?
Or maybe downtown on “Thurdy Thurd and Thurd” from Tommy 2 Times even…behind the billboard blocking the view of passers by…or from the “Doobie Doc”!
More please…more story info…more info!

why don’t we just go ahead and get this thing done properly? Just think of the revenue we will be making for our state if it is taxed & regulated! Less for foreign cartels, more for our state-strapped budget, it’s a win/win all the way around. If anyone who wants to smoke it will get it however they can, why not fund our budget insted of giving more foreign “aid” to illegal drug trafficking?

Please go read HB 84 at http://www.ncleg.net because this is a very uneducated comment. This bill means my life as I am fighting tumors, and have sucessfully gone into remission using Cannabis Oil. The bill establishes a WELL regulated MEDICAL program for those of us sick who need Dr.s, testing labs, and not just smoke able Cannabis, but tinctures, oils, topicals for skin cancer… Medical Cannabis is a HUGE billion dollar industry.. and seems that from your comment, you are way behind what is really going on in the Medical Cannabis industry today. Jobs, jobs, jobs.
