WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The US Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force caught a man today wanted for a home invasion last spring in New Hanover County.

Deputies say Jonathan Kiger and his accomplices broke into an apartment on Bent Creek Road April 30 with an AR 15 rifle, a baseball bat and a stun gun.

The Marshals Service say they arrested Kiger, 23, in a shopping center on New Center Drive this afternoon with the help of Wilmington Police.

Kiger faces multiple counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping and burglary.

According to the NC Department of Corrections website, Kiger’s criminal history includes multiple convictions for DWI, breaking and entering, larceny and drug possession.

Yes, is zoo sad that this creep can break into someonez home with auto guns and bats, and be right back pn the streets. No sense of safety anymore

  • Guestscared says:

ANOTHER low life career criminal THUG back out on the street after a very lengthy criminal history terrorizing the city. And he’ll be out in no time, and do it again and again… because he’s not afraid. There’s no repercussions. Our court system at work. WTH!
