WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Fire Rescue will be able to save lives a little faster thanks to a sandwich shop.

The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation donated more than $15,000 worth of equipment to the fire department today.

To show their appreciation for the donation firefighters demonstrated the extraction tools, including the jaws of life, and how they would use them in a real life situation.
