BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says scammers are targeting victims by claiming to be raising money for the sheriff’s office.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says it does not engage in phone solicitations, nor do it engage other entities to do so on its behalf. Such calls are apparent scams.

If you receive any such calls, the sheriff’s office do not provide any personal information, credit card information, or agree to make any contribution, and contact the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (910) 253-2777.
