WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Traffic near Wrightsville Beach may have another obstacle.

The City of Wilmington has asked the state to temporarily keep drivers from turning left onto and off of Airlie Road. Wilmington wants the limitation until construction finishes on the Wrightsville Beach Drawbridge. The intersection is currently surrounded by traffic barrels, which makes turning left difficult and potentially dangerous.

The repair work on the bridge is scheduled to slow down in April.
