BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A North Carolina native and former NFL player is using his life experiences to educate the community.
Levar Fisher, former NFL star for the Arizona Cardinals and then New Orleans Saints, began his football career in the Tar Heel state as a four-year starter for the NC State Wolfpack.
After a knee injury prompted him to retire from the NFL in 2007, Fisher is using his experience to motivate and inspire communities across the nation.
He’s currently promoting his third book, “Freeze, Think About It,” by speaking at schools all over, and Fisher is now bringing his campaign to Brunswick County.
Before visiting Shallotte and Cedar Grove Middle Schools, Fisher stopped by Good Morning Carolina to talk more about his campaign.
He sat down with meteorologist and anchor Tim Buckley, saying following your dreams and making good decisions are important.
