Rinaldo B. “Rye” Page Jr., the owner and publisher of the Wilmington Morning Star and Sunday Star-News for two decades, died Monday afternoon at his home in Bal Harbour, Fla. He was 91.

In 1970, Page moved the newspaper – now the StarNews – from the Murchison Building in downtown Wilmington to its present home at 1003 S. 17th St. He oversaw its transition from “hot type” to a modern offset printing operation. In 1975, he and his family sold the paper to The New York Times Co., which sold it to Halifax Media Group in 2012.
