WILMINGTON, NC (News Release) — The second annual Great Friend to Kids Awards will be held Monday, April 22, at 8am at Shell Island Resort on Wrightsville Beach. It has just been announced that the leading award for Inspiration will be received in person by Vonta Leach, fullback for the Baltimore Ravens, and 2013 Superbowl Champion.
4 other awards will be given to individuals who have made an impact on children in Southeastern North Carolina. Winners for Curiosity, Innate Love of Learning, Imagination, and an Unsung Hero will be announced at the breakfast to the unsuspecting heroes who have made a difference in the lives of children in the area.
