WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Just in time for spring, Cape Fear Community College is expanding its educational garden at the North Campus in Castle Hayne.

A $3,000 donation from the Cape Fear Garden Club will help develop the existing facility. The money will also fund the creation of another Educational Apothecary Garden at the school’s downtown Wilmington campus.

Pharmacy Technology students will be able to research the medicinal use of plants that can be successfully grown in the Wilmington area.
